The Cer-Port
Mat has been specifically designed to decrease the time it
takes an emergency medical technician to stabilize a patient. In addition, the mattress
has been designed to provide the patient with the greatest amount of
support and comfort during their initial encounter with emergency
medical support and the critical transportation to hospital or
critical care units. The insightful design of the Cer-Port
Mat provides all patients with multi-directional stabilization and
unmatched comfort and is available in two sizes to accommodate both
infants/toddlers and adults.
This durable medical
product is made of a flexible urethane and has been covered in a
poly-vinyl protective coating for long-lasting durability and easy
cleanup and is an approved medical product from the FDA and
FAA.
The
head and neck support region of the mattress has been designed with
a deep recessed area to provide the patient an optimal range of
support, maintaining firm multi-directional support in the neck
region. This area will stabilize the patient from damaging movement
of his/her head or neck during transport. In many cases, the
Cer-Port Mat eliminates the use of the "cervical collar" while
providing unrivaled comfort and spinal support to the
patient.
The
lower lumbar support of the mattress allows the patient to be placed
in an anatomically correct posture. This stabilizes the patient
while providing important back support.
The
heel relief allows the patient to let his/her feet “hang off” the
edge, relieving muscle tension in the knees and popliteal regions of
the body.
The
head restraint pad with strap allows the patient to be stabilized
far more quickly and efficiently than accepted standards currently
in use.
The
above design features allow the patient to be placed in an
anatomically correct position, having firm support in the areas of
the head and neck, lower lumbar, and knee regions of the
body.
Due
to its many features and easily cleaned and lightweight
construction, the Cer-Port Mat is found by medical technicians to be
highly manageable, easy to maintain, and important in the provision
of long or short-term support and comfort to their patients.
