Dear Mr.
Trevino,
After using your invention, I
was thoroughly impressed with its functionality and simplicity. I found your invention to be
astounding, in that it addressed patient comfort while exceeding the
current standard. I
implemented it’s use in our service, placing one on each of our 3
units. Having the
advantage of being a small rural hospital based EMS system allowed a fair and in depth
appraisal of the initiation of patient care (first contact) to the
subsequent discharge and/or transfer to higher care. In our case histories to
date, we have 32 trauma-related uses. We have not received one
complaint against your device.
In fact, every patient surveyed had lavish approbation and
praise for the comfort it afforded them in the face of long term use
(i.e. splinting of more than 4 to 6
hours).
All of the medical
professional’s involved, ER MD, radiology technician, and nurses
found it to be quite useful in comforting the patient. Our EMT’s reported that by
it’s use, they were able to decrease scene time by its simple, yet
practical application.
Emergency personnel, feel that with proper application the
rigid cervical collar could possibly be eliminated in prehospital
use, making this device an all inclusive, superior form of long
spine board immobilization.
The Radiology department found its translucency in films an
added bonus because of its malleable form it provided ultimate
comfort without compromising range of motion in obtaining clear
films. After close
examination by ER physicians, they stated that many
patients’interviews were more fruitful due to the comfortability
factor lending relaxation to a normally tense environment. Weather or not its
use-prevented exacerbation’s of undetermined fractures has yet to be
established, but most of the healthcare professionals involved in
the process had nothing but good things to say about
it.
I strongly, strongly recommend
your pad to anyone interested in providing the utmost comfort for
his or her patients.
Innovative Med.net has truly cornered the market on long
splint comfort. Again,
I am satisfied with its performance, decontamination, durability and
above all its comfort level.
We are sold on the device, and I look forward to doing
business with you in the future.
Sincerely,
Stephen Singleton,
EMT-P

Re: Cer-Port
Mattress
To the staff at InnovativeMed
Inc.,
As Vice President of Operations
for a regional 911 ambulance and helicopter service in North Louisiana, I see products come and
go. Recently, we
received a Cer-Port Mat and strap set from your company. We operate over 10 Advanced
Life Support Ambulances and 1 EMS
Helicopter. Through our
Quality Assurance Program, we set to find out if this support
mattress would prove a benefit to our
patients.
During the next few weeks, we
utilized the Cer-Port Mat on several of our long transport
patients to Shreveport hospitals. This transport is usually
over 30-60 minutes and the roads in Louisiana are not up to
standard. "Every
patient reported comfort and they stated they had a sense of
“security” while lying on the Cer-Port Mat". The Paramedics and Nurses
reported an ease of use, and that back and neck alignment was
obtained and maintained without
compromise.
In
this short time, we found that the Cer-Port Mat had a positive
impact on Patient Care. We will look at placing this
mattress on every unit in our fleet. We will prepare for the
upcoming sporting events and be sure that we have a Cer-Port Mat for
our coverage of the Louisiana Tech and Grambling sporting
events. When
applicable, we will utilize this wonderful mattress on our
helicopter service.
I fully endorse and recommend
the Cer-Port Mattress.
John, I feel you have done a great job with your invention,
and your company is very professional and seems to be on the cutting
edge of technology for the progressing EMS environment.
Best of luck to you and your
staff.
Sincerely,
Keith H.
